I build products. I partner with Product and Engineering leadership from discovery, design, user testing to launch.
Hi, I’m Chris. I was born in New York City and grew up in the Catskills mountains of New York. I am an industrial designer who has experience working in Mechanical Design and Consumer Products.
A graduate of Parsons School of Design | The New School, I am a master carpenter, furniture designer, and in my youth worked in construction, restoration of antiques and historic buildings. I enjoy creating, building, and restoring objects to an artisan finish. I am also an avid cook.
I work remotely with a tech. non-for-profit in the USA, and freelance in Barcelona and EU.
I create elaborate & innovative designed products & digital designs that tend to consumers’ and clients’ needs. I help motivate and provide technical assistance for employees while guiding large-scale projects within large to medium-scale companies.
I have experience in many forms of mass manufacturing. I started working in a shop environment and gained more experience for over 15 years, managing projects and designing for manufacturing and concept development.
My methodology is to explore all possible avenues starting with innovative, conceptual ideas to quickly eliminate concepts that will not work for the best solution. The quickest way to a fully developed product is a failure and reaching those failures early on creates smooth success after getting through that narrow path product developers and product designers must go through. I give extensive research into every aspect of decision-making in user interaction, form, color, and more. I have a strong focus on biomimicry but do not let only one design method direct me alone.
