Lou Blass Studios
2012 - Hudson, New York
Role: Design Management, Manufacturer
Service: Design/Manufacturing
In 2012, I was hired as a personal assistant to the world-known designer Lou Blass. My role was to improve the design process and manufacturing.
During my time working at Lou Blass’s studio in upstate NY, manufacturing by the means of brazing, electrical design & assembly, and finish coating lighting designs, as well as others. I improved the process giving the ability to mass-produce by creating documentation on the manufacturing process, technique, assembly, installation, and BOM's. Improving on-time management of production, while assisting on scheduling for installation and installing.
BOM (a bill of materials) is a list of the raw materials, sub-components, parts, and the quantities of each needed to manufacture an end product.
